This week we pause our journey through Genesis to look at the Book of Jasher, why you haven’t read it, and why you probably never will no matter how many times the internet tells you that you can. We do a drive-by of the Zohar, Kabbalah, and Zoroastrianism with a nod to comic book author Alan Moore and the movie Dogma. After we debunk the Book of Jasher, we move on to discuss how the traditions surrounding Rachel, Laban, and Balaam help us understand Matthew 2 and his pronouncements concerning the birth of Christ.
