Getting Into the Theology of Deborah's Song (Judges 5) - Faith and Other Oddities Episode 46
We are picking up in verse 6 of Judges 5, the Song of Deborah and begin teasing out some of the foundational theological themes of these verses. In this prophetic song Deborah pulls back the curtain to spiritual realities behind the battle of Sisera and Barak, and uses poetic language to convey a multitude of truths in a very small space. Of course, we could not resist exploring how Deborah raises the issue of free-will, election, and salvation; and how her words should help inform our reading of the New Testament.
