Saul receives confirmation that Samuel’s word to him will be fulfilled. A series of signs will reveal the significance of Saul’s new role and yet, he is reluctant to speak of it with this family. Samuel preforms a public ceremony in which Saul is presented to the people as a king of God’s choosing, but Saul is hiding among the baggage in one of the more comical scenes of the Bible.
