Hannah Prayed for Much More Than a Son (1 Samuel 1) - Faith and Other Oddities Episode 72

Continuing with the story of Hannah, and we begin to see how her longing for child is protest against the establishment. We ask the question, is Samuel a Nazarite and how does this connect him to the story of Samson? Eli’s character is revealed as blind, and how this leads him to misjudging the woman who will redefine prayer for a nation. And we begin to see the genius of the author of Samuel as he begins to create strong literary and linguistic links between the past and present, while also foreshadowing future events - particularly the coming Messiah.
